Mountainhome is an outpost located in the Northern region of Great Cleave, a region recommended for level 40-60 players. In some cases, to unlock certain epic weapons in New World, you must complete the pre-requisite quests, which start with Eintou Madaki in Mountainhome, before you can unlock the quests for epic weapons. You’ll need to be the Second highest rank to get your first Epic with a 470 Gear Score! Lastly, if you’re an avid PvP’er, there are epics for you too! Head to your faction Vendor. If you’d like to guarantee getting an Epic, you’ll want to complete a Quest or find a Recipe. These are typically harder to defeat enemies or bosses which may require a group of players to take down. You can also have better odds of getting an Epic by finding them dropped by a slain Named Enemy. Finally, Tier 5 Epics, are the most sought after epics and can even be better than Legendary Weapons, depending on your characters build. Next, there are a number of Epics which are attainable from levels 38-59 these are Tier 4 Epics. These are Tier 3 Epics and range in Gear Score from 300-400.
